33 jobs for expanding metal firm

A Huntington-based metal stamping company announced plans Thursday to invest more than $2 million in an expansion that will create 33 jobs by 2011.

Furniture Company Expanding

A Greenwood-based patio furniture company is moving locations as it prepares for a national expansion. The Southside Daily Journal reports that MiYu Furniture is moving from its 1,500 square-foot facility in Greenwood to larger space in Franklin. The company currently sells its furniture in the Indianapolis area, but it will begin seeking national distributors this fall.
The company employs six people in Greenwood, but officials say the new space will allow it to add five to 10 workers over the next year.

Old drive-in in Clermont to be motor sports hub

On the grounds of a former drive-in movie theater in Hendricks County, Impact Racing aims to be a driving force.
The safety equipment supplier said Thursday it will build a $3.7 million 20,000-square-foot uniform-making facility off U.S. 136 in Clermont, where it plans to use a one-of-a-kind manufacturing process.

Impact Racing to bring 100 jobs to Brownsburg

A local motorsports company is creating more than 100 jobs by 2011.
Impact Racing will expand its manufacturing operations at the Lost Drive-In Motorsports Park on US 136 across from O'Reilly Raceway Park. Impact makes fire suits, helmets, racing shoes and safety equipment for the IRL, NASCAR and NHRA.
